This is a Chptr community remembrance. Eleanor Whitfield, of Winter Park, passed away peacefully at ninety-one. A retired schoolteacher, Eleanor taught third grade for thirty-four years and never missed a Friday fish fry. Her family invites friends and former students to read her story and share a memory at chptr dot com.

What is Chptr?

The local obituary, carried forward.

For generations, communities learned about the people they'd lost from the local paper and the local radio station.

Chptr keeps that tradition going. We work with funeral homes and local media so friends, neighbors, old coworkers and classmates hear the news, and have a place to remember together.

Every life matters to more people than we realize.
