Tori Bowie, an Olympic gold medalist and two-time world champion in track and field, passed away on April 23, 2023. She was 32 years old.

Tori was born in Sand Hill, Mississippi on August 27, 1990. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi and competed in track and field. In 2012, she won the silver medal in the 100m and the bronze medal in the 200m at the London Olympics.
In 2016, Tori won the gold medal in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay at the Rio Olympics. She also set a personal best time of 10.80 seconds in the 100m and 21.77 seconds in the 200m. Her accomplishments earned her the title of “fastest woman alive.”
Tori went on to win the 2017 World Championship in the 100m and the 2018 Diamond League in the 200m. She also won the 2019 USATF Indoor Championships in the 60m and the 200m.
Tori was an inspiration to many. She was a role model for young athletes and a leader in the track and field community. She will be remembered for her dedication to her sport and her commitment to excellence.
Tori Bowie passed away on April 23, 2023 in Orange County, California. The cause of death is pending investigation from the Orange County Chief Medical Examiner.
