Paul Grant was born in the United Kingdom in 1967. He studied drama, dance, and theatre at numerous schools and studied acting in London from the age of 15. Grant began his career in film and television in the late 1980s, appearing in a variety of films, including the romantic drama A Man and a Woman (1988), the action comedy Police School 5 (1989), and the historical comedy The Ploughman's Lunch (1983).
In 1983, Grant was cast in the blockbuster classic Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as an Ewok, the furry characters found on the forest moon of Endor. Grant went on to appear in a number of films and television shows in the following years, including Red Dwarf (1988), Blackadder (1989), and The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (1993).
In addition to his acting career, Grant also worked as a stuntman since the mid-1980s. He worked on numerous films and television shows, including The Living Daylights (1987), Highlander II: The Quickening (1991), Goldeneye (1995), and Saving Private Ryan (1998). Grant was well-known for his adept use of wires and fight choreography.
In the 2000s and 2010s, Grant continued to work as an actor and stuntman, although he largely retired from the industry in recent years. He died on March 20th, 2023, surrounded by his family and close friends. He is survived by his wife and two children.
