Obit: Maxine Klibingaitis, Beloved Australian Actress and Artist Passes Away

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of beloved Australian actress and artist, Maxine Klibingaitis. She was 58 years old.

Maxine began her career in the entertainment industry at a young age, appearing in the soap opera Prisoner before landing a role on the long-running series Neighbours. She also appeared in films such as The Return of Captain Invincible, The Man from Snowy River II and The Crossing.

In addition to her acting career, Maxine was an accomplished artist and had her works featured in galleries throughout Australia. She was also active in the Melbourne theatre scene, appearing in productions such as The Importance of Being Earnest and The Seagull.

Maxine was a passionate advocate for the arts and was involved in many charitable organizations, including the Australian Children’s Music Foundation and the Starlight Foundation. She was also an active member of the LGBT community and a vocal supporter of marriage equality.
